Deviant Academy - The Assembly

The final battle is about to begin. Here's the speech given to the entire student body:

R. King:
"Before I proceed, I would like to thank each and every one of you for attending. I do not doubt many of you are carrying feelings of anxiety and fear after what occurred the other day, but nevertheless you have all attended, and as a headmaster there is nothing more I wish from my students...

Two days ago, on the grounds of this academy, we were ambushed, an attack planned out by the goddess Alyna. Both Sensei Ruko and Professor Marco were present at the time of the attack, and both suffered injuries, with Professor Marco still in the medical wing. He is currently recovering from extensive eye surgery, after significant strain to defend both himself and the Dojo, which unfortunately was lost in the attack. Your instructors have all taken this day to stand by Professor Marco's side in support.

We have since learned that the Dojo was the goal of the attack from the start, as academy's magic shields were based inside it, and Alyna successfully managed to disable them. In lieu of recent events, I has a headmaster can no longer... can no longer call this academy safe, neither for the students, and by extent for the teachers. We will therefore be launching our own measures to counter Alyna's plan to destroy our school. Everyone under the age of 18, though few of you there are, will be placed under Gaia's care, and are instructed to follow her rules and curfews strictly as if they were laws. To some of you, these will seem like rules a mother would give their child, but we are doing this purely to ensure the safety of our students.

For everyone 18 or over...you are free to leave, free to go home to your families. Under these circumstances there is no shame, neither will we tolerate any ridicule set upon those who wish to return to safety. And...as for those who see themselves willing, for those who see themselves ready, to fight for your academy, to fight the forces of evil, and to join your teachers' side...you are free to stand forth and join the defense for the Deviant Academy...

Consider this your final exam."

(Silence and murmuring among the crowd, many turning away to seek safety, while most remain.)

R. King:
"For those of you who have decided to stay, I am grateful. And I would like to introduce you to the group of individuals behind me. These four individuals, along with miss Xira Fox, are an elite group known as the Star Council. They will be your leaders in our fight, and I have placed my trust in them. Beginning to your left...

Saul, your Academy custodian. Though in unorthodox methods he has trained himself to maneuver and fight with amazing efficiency and precision.

Tim, an Advanced Fourth-Year student, your javelin team captain, and the Council's strategist. Beneath his calm and collective state lies incredible power and resourcefulness.

Misa, Interrogations Officer for Third-Year students. Her tactics of persuasion and intimidation are very effective...from personal experience.

And finally Gaia, the sorority mother of the Sisters of Gaia. You may also know her by a more common title: Mother Nature.

Now that you've met your leaders, I'm going to turn it over to Tim, who will go over our strategy..."

Tim:
"Listen up. I'm going to tell you this won't be easy. We're about to enact a strategy to stop a goddess. Nonetheless we will prevail, and our academy will stand strong. I am honored to lead this academy into battle, and I am confident in your ability. Now, for the battle plan. We have three objectives, and if we're going to win this war, we'll need to fulfill all three...

Objective 1: Area Recon. Many of you will be grouped into teams of seven, with each team led by an instructor. You'll be assigned to different areas surrounding the academy. Your objective is simply to scout the surrounding areas and notify Saul of any enemy forces. He will then relay the information to Misa and Headmaster King. You'll be primarily using stealth. Pursue any enemies you see, but only engage if necessary.

Objective 2: Target Extraction. A small rescue team will infiltrate the caverns in the north, and locate and extract the target known as the Marionette. From information gathered, he will cooperate once he is freed from the magic Alyna has on him. Gaia has prepared a potion that will be used in this mission, and one of the Sisters will deliver it, to prevent loss or damage.

The rest of you will take care of Objective 3: Area Defense. You'll fight with me and defend the school from Alyna and her forces. You will primarily deal with eliminating minions; leave Alyna to either myself or one of your instructors.

In an effort to prevent casualties, every group will include a medic; the Defense group will include multiple medics. Whenever you're ready, go to the Quad and you'll be given your objective.

I'm counting on you."
